Rain, at last!

After the heatwave the UK is enjoying much needed rain.

I have done a blog post about my recent Paris trip on my other blog HERE

I have been busy this week planting carrot, parsnip, fennel, rocket, fenugreek, spring onions and more on my allotment.

I got two huge dog water bowls from the recycle centre for £2 each, perfect as a bird bath and to provide drinking water for passing foxes or deer.

Back soon, how's your week going?

  2. Wonderful! I love allotments, even though I don’t have one! I used to spend time on my grandad’s allotment when I was little and I was fascinated by what went on there! I’ve grown Fennel this year, just for fun! I only have one raised bed and have managed to squeeze the plants into it! Lovely blog! Sal 😁

  6. Your allotment appears to be doing well.
I read your other blog ( about your trip to Paris) and am amazed when I think of how close the UK is to France and other European countries.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Keep right on enjoying your summer.

    1. Yes we have the eurotunnel and it takes us less time to visit France than the UK coastal resorts!

    1. We have so many urban foxes, also muntjac deer... the UK Just had a heatwave Haddock, there are also large open water containers for us to dunk our cans next to some taps. So I think birds must use that source :)

I was happily surprised to hear from eldest son that he is liking the rain after hot weather. For the first time he found rain good which shows that UK had quite warm weather lately

    1. Yes London was sweltering with a heatwave but now its breezy. Sunny. Light rain. The perfect mix. We have some big parks. I expect your son has been to Hyde Park which is very central but there is also Hampstead Heath in north London and many more he can enjoy.
